If you always loved playing Halo video games on your Xbox console and have been disappointed that you couldn’t play it on your computer, this free game has the answer to your problem. Halo Zero is a version of the popular sci-fi battle video game Halo made in 2D for Windows PC. This version also comes with its own graphics engine, so you can enjoy the game even if you have a very basic computer. The graphics are a little cartoonish compared to the original, but it’s free, so you can’t really complain, can you?
Halo Zero takes place in a universe in which the planet Reach has created a genetically modified soldier, designed to be the deadliest of all weapons, whose mission will be to save planet Earth. But the closely held secret of the last remaining native survivors of Earth is discovered by their enemies in The Covenant. Your mission in the game will be to protect Spartan, the super soldier whose job is to destroy all the enemies in The Covenant and free Earth from their oppression in order to repopulate the planet and begin again, starting civilization again from zero.
